‘Still Life in May’

‘Still Life in May’ includes a series of black and white photographs, shot on one roll of film, on one particular sunny afternoon in May of 2022. A wave of inspiration came to me after being bed ridden for two weeks. I sat on the veranda with a mirror, a rock, an empty art book & a glass and created the series ‘Still Life in May’ with my beloved camera.

‘Contours’ for ‘Real Life Group Show’ at the Spray Room Gallery (pictured right and below) alludes to the similarities between organic and human form. ‘Contours’ reveals a curvaceous rock mirroring itself.

‘Light Spill’ (below) is one photograph among others of a glass interacting with light, and casting shadow. The remainder of the photographs in this series can be found here.
